Applying for Childcare and Kindergarten

Darebin City Council manages a centralised Kindergarten and Childcare Registration wait list system on our behalf.

Available places not filled by the Centre to existing enrolled families are referred to the Kindergarten and Childcare Registration wait list office to be offered externally to families on the wait list.

Child Care registration- Families are able to apply to the wait list for childcare after the birth of their child.

Three and Four year old kindergarten registration- Children are eligible to attend a State Government funded kindergarten if they have turned three or four years of age by the 30 April in the year of attendance.
